The National Football League has announced it will add its content to a variety of music streaming platforms including Pandora, TuneIn, Tidal, Spotify, and SoundCloud in its attempts to expand its digital footprint.
Users will have access to the greatest moments from the history of the game, as well as highlights from this season, podcasts and curated playlists. For some platforms, certain NFL content will be the first non-music video visual assets.
The partnership with Tidal further deepens the ties between the NFL and hip-hop star and mogul Jay Z, the streaming service’s co-owner. In August, the NFL struck a long-term alliance with Roc Nation in which the entertainment company formed Jay-Z will serve as the league’s official live music entertainment strategists. Roc Nation will also aid the NFL on its involvement in various social justice issues.
