NEW ZEALAND PULLS OUT OF INDIA TOURNAMENT

New Zealand Soccer said it had been advised by the Asian Football Confederation to withdraw from the Millennium Super Soccer Cup.
The national body said the tournament had been seen as important preparation for New Zealand’s World Cup qualifying games in Auckland in June and it would now seek alternative warm up matches.
The All India Football Federation unveiled the Millennium Super Soccer Cup in August, saying Uruguay, Chile, Colombia and Cameroon were among 16 nations expected to take part. Games are scheduled for Calcutta, Goa and Cochin.
