New blow inflicted on Cricket Australia as chairman Peever resigns

Cricket Australia chairman David Peever has tendered his resignation following the damning Ethics Centre review into the organisation’s culture, only a week after he was unanimously re-elected to the role.

Seven months on from the ball-tampering scandal that sent shockwaves through Australian cricket, leading to the suspension of players Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft, the governing body itself is now in the firing line.
