US motorsport organisation Nascar has agreed a multi-year deal with online hotel reservations provider HotelPlanner.

The agreement designates the company as the official online booking partner of Nascar, with HotelPlanner to offer its travel hotel booking platform for the organisation’s corporate offices, as well as serve as a resource for the wider industry and race fans.

As a key part of the partnership, HotelPlanner will have a customised hotel booking platform on Nascar.com. In the coming weeks, Nascar fans will be offered special deal packages and sweepstakes on Nascar.com via HotelPlanner.

HotelPlanner’s customised hotel booking platform is now available for Nascar’s three national series (Monster Energy Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Gander Outdoors Truck Series), as well as Nascar’s regional series (K&N Pro Series East and West, Whelen Modified Tour, Pinty’s Series, Whelen Euro Series and Peak Mexico Series).

“Nascar is truly a global sport, sanctioning races across the country as well as in Canada, Mexico and Europe,” Jon Tuck, chief revenue officer for Nascar, said. “With years of experience in customised hotel booking, HotelPlanner will be a tremendous resource for our industry and provide our fans with a convenient, streamlined process to book lodging at Nascar events throughout the year.”

In addition to Nascar, HotelPlanner’s sports portfolio includes partnerships with the likes of NFL American football franchise the Washington Redskins, USA Triathlon and Street League Skateboarding.

The HotelPlanner deal comes after Nascar last week signed a multi-year sponsorship extension with Mars, keeping the US-based candy manufacturer as the property’s official chocolate.
