Music City GP proves immediate success for IndyCar, NBC Sports

The inaugural Music City Grand Prix has proven an immediate success for the NTT IndyCar Series and NBC Sports, with the Nashville road race drawing an average 1.2 million viewers on cable network NBCSN.

As such, it was the most-watched IndyCar race on United States cable television in NBC Sports history. It is also believed to be the most-watched IndyCar race on cable since 1988.
