MultiChoice, Uefa secure landmark Kenyan anti-piracy takedown

Pay-TV broadcaster MultiChoice Kenya and Uefa have secured a ruling from the High Court of Kenya that orders a number of internet service providers (ISPs) in the country to permanently block access to pirated sports streaming websites containing materials which infringe copyright.

This is the first time that a Kenyan court has sanctioned the issuance of takedown notices under provisions of its copyright legislation.
