MP & Silva signs worldwide ATP 250 Movistar Open deal

The multi-year agreement will see the agency exclusively distribute the worldwide media rights of the event, with the exception of Chile, across all media platforms.

“We are pleased to cement our cooperation with MP & Silva, who have vast expertise in managing and distributing rights of world-class sports events, and we are now well-poised to grow on a global stage,” said Álvaro Fillol, Tournament Director, Movistar Open.

“Latin America is an ever-growing talent pool for men’s tennis, especially if you consider the region has provided the likes of former world number ones, Marcelo Ríos and Gustavo Kuerten, 2009 US Open winner, Juan Martin Del Potro, David Nalbandian, and not forgetting Chile’s own homegrown stars, Nicolás Massú and Fernando González. We are confident that through MP & Silva’s assistance, we can help bring more Latin tennis players to the forefront of tennis.”

The Movistar Open moved to Santiago from Viña del Mar in 2010.
