MLB unveils plans for inaugural FoodFest

North America’s Major League Baseball (MLB) has revealed plans to stage its first ever food festival next month as it seeks to showcase the various tasty treats made famous by its teams.

Taking place on April 21-22 near Bryant Park in New York, the debut edition of ‘MLB FoodFest’ will feature a signature concession item from each franchise in the league.

Produce on offer will include the New England Lobster Roll that is only usually available to fans at Fenway Park, the home of the Boston Red Sox, and the Pulled Pork Pierogi Hoagie from the Pittsburgh Pirates’ PNC Park.

Other features at the inaugural event include a hot dog art gallery, popcorn pit and bar facilities.

Tickets will cost $25 (€20) and include a serving of all 30 items at MLB FoodFest plus soft drinks and water. Fans can also purchase three beer vouchers for $15.
