Milan’s San Siro set for renovation

The City Council of Milan has said that the San Siro, home of the city’s two Serie A football clubs, will undergo an “extraordinary” renovation project.

The San Siro, whose official title is the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, has been the home of AC Milan since it opened in 1926, while city rival Inter has occupied the stadium since 1947. In recent years, both clubs have been linked with projects to move away from the San Siro and develop new stadia.
