Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, the local organising committee for the Italian staging of the winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, has hailed successful cost containment efforts after managing to cut its projected loss for 2021 by more than half.
The organisation registered a loss of €21,217,315 ($23.07m) for the year ending December 31, 2021, but this figure was expected to be more than double in plans approved in November 2020.
