Serie A football clubs Inter Milan and AC Milan have each entered an agreement with energy firm A2A Energia Partner.
The Milan-based company becomes the Official Energy Partner of both Milanese sides.
The geographical link between the three organisations has been cited as an important factor in the development of the partnership.
A2A chief executive Valerio Camerano, said: ‘’We are particularly proud of our being ‘Official Energy Partner’ of two clubs that, like the A2A Group, have over 100 years of history, are linked to our territory but appreciated throughout the country.’’
In July, the two Milanese clubs outlined plans to work collaboratively on a new joint 60,000 capacity stadium in the city. This would replace the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, which has been the home of Inter and AC since 1947.
