Miami GP given green light after judge ends final legal threat

The inaugural Miami Grand Prix on May 6-8 has been given the green light after a Miami-Dade judge denied a request to call off the event by local residents who were concerned about the noise level associated with a Formula 1 race.

Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Alan Fine ruled that evidence presented by Miami Gardens residents that their hearing could potentially be damaged was “very highly speculative."
