MFE, Mediaset España shareholders back merger agreement

Media group Mediaset España is set to be merged into MediaForEurope (MFE), the Dutch-based holding company that owns Italy-based commercial broadcaster Mediaset and the company’s stake in the Spanish broadcaster.

The move was rubber-stamped by shareholders of Mediaset España and MFE during meetings held yesterday (Wednesday). The merger was initially approved by the two companies’ boards on January 30.
