Viewership of the men's NCAA Division I Basketball Tournament has been steady compared to the 2022 tournament's first two rounds on CBS and Warner Bros. Discovery networks, while ESPN's coverage of the women's tournament has risen 28 per cent through the first two rounds.

The men's game between Michigan State and Marquette in the second round drew the tournament's highest number so far with 10.9 million viewers on CBS, according to SportsMediaWatch. That figure, a Nielsen estimate, is a 3-per-cent drop from the major early-round matchup in 2022 between Michigan and Duke that drew 11.2 million.
