Under the deal, Melita Cable will deliver comprehensive coverage of each competition across its Melita Sports channels as well as wide exposure on one of their basic tier channel. The broadcaster will show live coverage of all UEFA Champions League matches as well as highlights on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and the weekly magazine programme.
For the UEFA Cup, Melita Cable will show at least five live matches each match week as well as highlights. Melita Cable will also exploit the rights on the Internet via www.melitacable.com and on mobile.
The UEFA Champions League media rights for 2009-12 will also include the UEFA Super Cup 2009, 2010 and 2011. The deal was brokered by sports marketing agency, Team.
