Mediaset agrees domestic free-to-air deal for F1 Spanish GP

Media group Mediaset España has agreed a sublicensing deal for Formula 1’s forthcoming Spanish Grand Prix with the property’s main domestic rights-holder, the Movistar Plus pay-TV platform of telco Telefónica.

The sixth round of the 2022 F1 season takes place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on May 20-22. Mediaset España’s deal will allow it to broadcast live coverage of the race on the Sunday, plus the previous day’s qualifying session.
