Sponsorship agency M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment has appointed former Octagon director Susan Maxwell as its new strategy director.
Maxwell, a B&T 2013 30 under 30 winner, has a strong background in brand marketing, experiential and sponsorship strategy and has worked with some of Australia’s most iconic brands in both a client and agency capacity across a range of industries including fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), alcohol, finance and telecommunications.
She comes to the position from Octagon Australia where, as group account director, she led the beverage and food Lion Co. business overseeing multiple brands including XXXX GOLD, Hahn Super Dry and Budweiser. Prior to leading the Lion account, Maxwell was instrumental in leading strategic sponsorship and activation plans for multiple [mobile phone service] Telstra projects and contributed to multiple new business wins.
At M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment, Maxwell will look to bring her strategic experience to existing clients including Commonwealth Bank, IAG and Pepsi as well as leading the further development of their thought leadership and strategic capabilities.
