Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has reportedly signed a four-year deal with British boxing promoter Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.
The 23-year-old won a gold medal for Team GB in the super-heavyweight division at the London 2012 Olympics. Joshua will join Matchroom's International Boxing Federation super-middleweight champion Carl Froch, World Boxing Organisation lightweight champion Ricky Burns and Kell Brook.
It is understood that talks were held with all the major promotional companies, but the deal with Matchroom was accepted due to the company’s exclusive contract with Sky Sports, according to The Independent.
Joshua becomes the fourth member of the Great Britain boxing squad from the Games to turn professional, following fellow Olympians Luke Campbell, Anthony Ogogo and Tom Stalker.
