UK motorsport circuit Silverstone, which hosts the annual Formula One British Grand Prix, has appointed Match Hospitality as an official partner.

The agreement will begin at the start of the 2020 motorsport season.

Match will manage Silverstone’s hospitality portfolio across a range of events, which include major MotoGP and British Superbike races, as well as F1.

For the F1 weekend, in which more than 300,000 spectators will visit the circuit, Match said that it would be “rejuvenating some of the track’s most legendary hospitality spaces, with the goal of reaching a new audience both within the UK and overseas”. Match is also an official distributor at the Grand Prix’s VIP Paddock Club.

Match develops, sells, manages and produces official commercial hospitality programmes for sporting events. The company’s events portfolio includes the ATP World Tour Finals season-ending men’s tennis tournament and, since 2010, the Fifa World Cup, while Match has also been appointed by football’s European governing body Uefa for Euro 2020, as well as the Brazilian and Russian Olympic Committees for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Match executive chairman Jaime Byrom said: “We have some very ambitious plans – which will be announced over the coming months – to take the guest experience at Silverstone, ‘the home of British motorsport’, to the next level.”

In July, Silverstone secured its place on the F1 calendar until at least 2024.
