Payments company Mastercard has agreed a deal with the Board of Control for Cricket in India to title sponsor domestic cricket in the country, including men's and women's national team home matches, during the 2022-23 season.

Mastercard replaces Indian digital payments company Paytm, which ended its deal with the BCCI early. Paytm had a five-year deal for the title sponsorship rights, from 2019 to 2023. It was reported earlier this year that Paytm was in talks with the BCCI about ending the deal and switching the rights to Mastercard.
