Brazil's Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro will host the final of the 2023 Copa Libertadores, South America’s leading club football tournament, while the final of the 2023 Copa Sudamericana, the continent’s secondary club competition, will be held in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Up until 2018, the Copa Libertadores final was traditionally contested across two legs with each side meeting home and away. The Maracana held the second of the new single-game finals in 2020.
