Manchester United launches “experience centre” and Chinese language app in China

English Premier League football club Manchester United has launched a preview of their first interactive “experience centre” in Beijing, as well as a dedicated Chinese language app.

According to a press release, club legends Peter Schmeichel, Dimitar Berbatov and Wes Brown attended Wednesday’s official opening of the preview centre in Beijing, part of the club’s partnership with Chinese property developer Harves.

The preview centre is located right next to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, and showcases to fans the full experience that will be in place when the centre is fully open in 2020, followed by centres in Shanghai and Shenyang.

Highlights for fans and families include a full-scale replica of Old Trafford’s famous Trinity Statue, an interactive showcase of the club’s triumphs, authentic replicas of the player’s tunnel and changing rooms, as well as the first official Manchester United megastore in mainland China.

These physical experiences will be augmented with digital interaction via the club’s new Chinese language app, which will give access to Manchester United- related news and exclusive videos.
