Madrid declares interest in Formula 1 hosting

Madrid’s authorities have written to Stefano Domenicali, chief executive and president of Formula 1, declaring the Spanish capital’s interest in staging a round of the motor-racing championship.

A letter, signed by Enrique López, the Comunidad de Madrid’s Minister of the Presidency, Justice and the Interior, and first reported by Spanish newspaper El Confidencial, has emerged declaring the capital city’s intent.
