The International Swimming Federation (FINA) has named the London Aquatics Centre as one of its six stops in the World Diving Series next year.
Beijing will start the series in a meet from March 14-16, Dubai follows from March 20-22, and London will play host from April 25-27. Moscow is the next meet from May 2-4, with Canada’s Windsor (May 30-June 1) and Mexico’s Monterrey (June 6-8) completing the series.
David Sparkes CEO of British Swimming, which was handed the venue as its new home earlier this week, said: “We look forward to welcoming the best divers in the world back to London. Many of those attending will already have fantastic memories of the iconic venue and of the 2012 [London] Olympics.
“This event marks the beginning of the history of the pool within legacy mode and we wish the divers well as they start the next chapter in the life of this fabulous building.”
