English Premier League side Liverpool has signed up meat-free alternative brand Quorn as a new sponsor.

The multi-year deal will see the two organisations collaborate to provide a greater array of vegetarian and vegan options for the club’s fans on matchdays.

It will also work with the club’s nutrition team to extend the choice of healthy protein-based options available to Liverpool’s playing squad.

The central focus of the association is the support of greater food sustainability as part of the Premier League leaders’ ‘Go Green’ initiative, launched in the 2018-19 season.

Billy Hogan, chief commercial officer at Liverpool FC, explained: ”As a leading provider of sustainable meat-free products in the UK, Quorn will be a key partner in the club’s sustainability efforts.

“We look forward to providing a platform to help our fans, employees and playing staff make positive contributions to tackling climate change while at the same time considering their health and well-being.”
