LIV Golf looks to secure world rankings points

The Saudi-backed LIV Golf is aiming to secure official world rankings points for its players in a further attempt to legitimize its place in the professional golf landscape, its chief executive Greg Norman has revealed.

Currently, LIV Golf participants do not earn world ranking points for taking part in the breakaway tour, meaning that it will be extremely hard for its stars – such as Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau – to take part in golf's major championships in future years.
