LIV Golf accelerates growth plans for 2023 season

The Saudi-backed LIV Golf breakaway tour is reportedly accelerating its growth plans by transitioning from the current eight-event "Invitational Series" to a 14-tournament "LIV Golf League" in 2023.

According to multiple reports, LIV Golf is planning to have 48 contracted players next year, who will play in 12 four-man teams. In addition, there will be permanent team captains, who will be able to recruit players and make trades.
