Spanish financial institution Liberbank has signed a six-year agreement with LaLiga’s Real Madrid as the club’s official bank from 2020-21 until the end of 2025-26.

The agreement gives the bank exclusivity in the banking sector for Spain, Liberbank’s main business territory.

The sponsorship’s priority objective is to generate brand awareness for the bank and association between both brands.

It also has a secondary purpose in terms of new lines of business between both organisations, such as offers of exclusive products to fans and club members and the acquisition of new customers via Real Madrid’s digital audiences.

In terms of exclusive products, the agreement gives an option for club members to finance subscriptions on advantageous terms, as well as the creation of specific and exclusive financial and banking products.

Liberbank will offer exclusive advantages and considerations for clients in all sections of the club, both for the men’s football and basketball teams and the women’s football team, which will represent the club for the first time next season.

Liberbank replaces Spanish financial group CaixaBank as the club’s official bank in its domestic market. Caixabank signed as the exclusive banking sector sponsor for both Spain and Portugal in 2017.
