Premier League club Leicester City has signed a partnership with Asian betting brand Yabo Sports.
One of Asia’s largest gaming companies, the betting brand will have its logo displayed on LED boards at Leicester’s King Power Stadium on match days and on post-match interview backdrops.
Dean Hawkes, chief executive of Yabo Sports, said: “We are extremely proud to partner with Leicester City, a club who have an exciting style of football and proud history which has given them a strong and loyal global fan base.
“The Premier League is the most popular and watched football league in the world and a league that enjoys an ever-growing global reach. We see this partnership with the club forming a key part of our expanding sponsorship portfolio as we continue to grow our brand profile in key regional territories.”
Harj Hir, head of partnerships at Leicester City, said: “The moment we met Yabo Sports we were impressed by their enthusiasm and keenness to work with the football club.
“They have partnered with some of the major football clubs in Europe and sporting events across the world, which demonstrates their strong profile within a competitive industry.”
Yabo Sports already sponsors a number of European football properties, including a major partnership with Manchester United signed in August. Last season, it signed as the official and exclusive betting partner in Asia of Bundesliga club Hertha BSC and with Ligue 1’s AS Monaco as a regional partner in Asia. In March this year, Yabo Sports was named as the International Presenting Sponsor in Asia for Italy’s Serie A. The brand features on in-match graphics, idents and virtual goal-mat advertising during live Serie A broadcasts in Asia.
