Record numbers of viewers watched Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James become the National Basketball Association's all-time leading scorer with 38,388 points and counting during the Lakers-Oklahoma City Thunder game on February 7.

In a 38-point performance, James passed Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabaar, whose record stood for 39 years. On Warner Bros. Discovery-owned TNT, an average of three million viewers tuned in, marking the most viewers for a regular season, non-opening night game on the network in five years when TNT aired James' first game as a Laker in 2018.
