Italian Serie A club Lazio has signed up gambling firm HQ Bet as a regional sponsor for China.

The deal will run to the end of the 2021-22 season.

Marco Canigiani, Lazio’s marketing manager, said the Asian market was key to the club’s growth plans.

The news coincides with the announcement of Lazio opening communication channels across Chinese social media platforms WeChat and Weibo. It has also launched a Chinese language version of its website.

Club president, Claudio Lotito, commented: ”All this only increases the value of the Lazio brand and strengthens its presence in the global market.”

The entire Lazio sponsorship portfolio, which is headlined by kit supplier Macron can be viewed via the SportBusiness Soccer platform.
