David Lappartient is set to be re-elected unopposed as president of the International Cycling Union (UCI) after the governing body confirmed the Frenchman as the only candidate for the role.

Lappartient’s election for a second four-year term will be confirmed without being put to a vote. His re-election is set to be ratified at the next UCI Congress in Leuven, Belgium on September 24.
