Tennis Data Innovations has undergone a process of putting in place “foundation stones” to establish deeper data points in the sport, according to chief executive David Lampitt.
Lampitt left his role as Sportradar’s managing director of sports content and partnerships to lead the joint venture set up by the ATP and ATP Media to centrally manage and exploit ATP Tour and Challenger Tour data for betting and non-betting purposes. He admitted that the sport has been “behind the curve” in leveraging data with its fan base over the last decade.
