Pedro Cubillos, a longstanding executive at the Lagardère Sports agency, has taken up the role of chief commercial officer at Tribe Sports Marketing, the newly-created boutique agency with offices in Barcelona, Miami and Stockholm.
Cubillos had been with Lagardère Sports for close to a decade, laterally as senior director for media in Latin America in a New York-based position. In that role, he led acquisitions and sales, along with business development, in Latin America and the US Hispanic market.
Tribe Sports Marketing advertises itself as an agency with a digital first approach working with clubs, federations, leagues and “other commercially driven brands.”
Marco Gonzalez, Tribe Sports Marketing’s chief operating officer, is also a former member of Lagardère Sports’ media team and previously managing director in Europe at the Lagardère-owned IEC in Sports.
Cubillos joined IEC in Sports at its Stockholm headquarters in 2010 as senior manager, sales and acquisitions, Americas and Europe.
