LA Galaxy break ground on new stadium plaza area

As the MLS season kicks off this weekend, LA Galaxy has announced the creation of Legends Plaza, an area outside the gates of the club’s home at Dignity Health Sports Park.

The plaza is set to become a tribute to a series of club legends, beginning with the unveiling of a statue of David Beckham on the day of the opening home fixture. It will serve as a hub for fans and will also feature an outdoor LED screen for live events.

LA Galaxy president Chris Klein said: “Legends Plaza is a way for our club to honour the history of our club and the many great players that have worn the LA Galaxy jersey. For years to come, Legends Plaza will be an ideal place for fans to gather before and after matches at Dignity Health Sports Park.”
