South African sports betting operator Hollywoodbets has agreed a deal to acquire naming rights to Kingsmead Cricket Ground, home of Durban-based franchise the Dolphins.

Hollywoodbets first partnered with the Dolphins in 2015 and has served as the team’s title sponsor since the 2016-17 season. The new agreement to incorporate stadium naming rights will run until at least August 2024.

The 25,000-seat stadium has undergone extensive renovation work in the lead up to the new season and the new deal has been signed as the ground prepares to host domestic and international cricket.

The stadium will henceforth be officially known as Hollywoodbets Kingsmead. The ground also serves as the home of the Durban Heat Twenty20 franchise and this summer will host a one-day international and Twenty20 international against England.
