United States women's indoor volleyball league startup League One Volleyball (LOVB) has raised $16.75m (€17.4m) in funding with more than a dozen participating investors, including National Basketball League star Kevin Durant and tennis icon Billie Jean King.
LOVB, which was created in 2020, is currently in 32 locations across 17 US states with hopes to form a professional league in 2024, according to a Bloomberg interview with Chief Executive Officer Katlyn Gao.
