Korea’s professional baseball league, the KBO, has renewed its long-running sponsorship with sports drink brand Pocari Sweat.
The deal has been renewed for four years, from 2020 to 2023. The two parties have had a partnership since 2000.
Pocari Sweat will have branding during league games and will provide drinks for the teams.
Pocari Sweat is a brand of the Japanese organisation the Otsuka Pharmaceutical Company. The deal was signed by Dong-A Otsuka, the company’s Korean subsidiary.
Yang Dong-young, president of Dong-A Otsuka, said, “We are delighted that the sports drink, Pocari Sweat, will continue to accompany…the KBO League, [after] 20 years.”
