Kansas City Current stadium costs climb by $47m

The costs of Kansas City Current's planned soccer-specific stadium have risen by $47m (€44m) to $117m, it has emerged.

The National Women's Soccer League team originally stressed the stadium on the east end of the Berkley Riverfront in Kansas City, Missouri, would be entirely privately funded when it was first announced. Now the team's owners are seeking $6m in tax benefits.
