Jockey Club extends £300m catering contract

Jockey Club Racecourses has extended its partnership with catering firm Compass Group for a further six years, which is expected to be worth £300 million in turnover.

The Club – the UK’s largest racecourse group – started its Jockey Club Catering joint venture with Compass in 2009 with an initial 10-year contract for racecourses including Aintree, Cheltenham, Epsom Downs and Newmarket.

Paul Fisher, Jockey Club Racecourses group managing director, said: “We’re delighted to reach an agreement with Compass on this extension. Jockey Club Catering is key to the high-quality experience we offer our customers and generates important revenues we reinvest back into British racing.”

The extension takes the Jockey Club Catering contract up to 2025.
