Italy’s antitrust watchdog analysing five-year Serie A rights sales

The Italian antitrust authority, l’Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato (AGCM), has launched a consultation on the guidelines for Lega Serie A’s proposal to extend its domestic media rights cycle from three to a maximum of five years.

The consultation concerns the three-year cycle from 2024-25 to 2026-27, as well as the following two seasons.
