Italian Football Federation (FIGC) president Gabriele Gravina has claimed there is an “urgent need” to start a sustainable development programme for the domestic football system after Covid-19 exposed its financial fragility.

Gravina was speaking after publication of the 12th edition of ReportCalcio, which is produced by the FIGC alongside research agency AREL and professional services group PwC. The report aims to highlight the main numbers that characterise the Italian football system, as well as analyse main trends and forecast future developments.
