Italian athletes unite in call for Mayor to back Rome 2024

A group of Italian athletes who competed at the 2016 summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro have written to Rome Mayor Virginia Raggi calling on her not to axe the capital’s bid for the 2024 Games, saying such a move would “close the door on a unique opportunity.”
