IPC hails China’s hosting of Paralympics, hopes raised for positive legacy

The Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympic Games closed yesterday, with the International Paralympic Committee praising China's hosting and sporting performance, and hopeful media reports that the event will have a positive legacy for disabled citizens in the host nation.

China's president Xi Jinping attended the closing ceremony of the Games at the Bird's Nest Stadium in Beijing. IPC president Andrew Parsons said in his closing speech that China had delivered a "stunning, secure and spectacular" Games.
