The International Paralympic Committee has followed the International Olympic Committee in announcing substantial cuts to the number of people it will accredit as guests for Tokyo’s postponed summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The IPC today (Tuesday) said its decision follows “clear direction” from the Japanese government that it requires a “very significant reduction” in the numbers of accredited participants who do not have essential and operational responsibilities at the Games.
