The International Olympic Committee has further progressed efforts to have Russian and Belarusians compete as neutral athletes ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, following a meeting of its Executive Board (EB) yesterday.
The EB met to consider the unanimous conclusions of the Olympic Summit on December 9. At that time, the IOC said it would explore a proposal from the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) to reintegrate Russian and Belarusian athletes into competitions ahead of Paris 2024.
