IOC postpones Session, gives Indian Olympic Association ‘final warning’

The International Olympic Committee has moved back its Session in Mumbai next year from May to September or October and reiterated its warning of a suspension of the Indian Olympic Association.

The moves come as the IOC pressures the Indian Olympic fraternity to address governance and electoral issues. In particular, IOA elections that were due to take place last year have been held up by a court case relating to the organisation's constitution. The IOC in July warned the IOA to resolve the issues.
