IOC in talks with international federations over ‘non-compulsory’ branding at qualifier events

The International Olympic Committee and various international federations will soon introduce common branding at Olympic qualification events, but the use of the branding is not compulsory, according to Kit McConnell, sports director at the IOC.

The plans were laid out to the international federations in Lausanne this week at the general assembly of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF), the umbrella organisation for the summer Olympic federations.
