The Indian state of Odisha is to incorporate the Olympic Values Education Programme (OVEP) into its school curriculum as part of one of the largest International Olympic Committee (IOC) initiatives in the country.

The OVEP is a set of practical resources designed by the IOC to introduce young people to the Olympic values of excellence, respect and friendship. The programme, which has been developed and implemented around the world since 2006, aims to help children become active, healthy and responsible citizens.
