IOC backs anti-Zika measures as outbreak declared global health emergency

International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Thomas Bach has given his backing to measures being taken to combat the mosquito-borne Zika virus as the Brazilian government maintained there is no chance the 2016 Olympic Games will be called off after the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the situation an international public health emergency.
